This is a growing body of work that has all been created in 2025. most large scale, others smaller, and some even on paper. but each have their own meaning and narrative behind them. each painting is a reflection of my numerous emotional states and the becoming of my journey as a painter. These worlds explore the relationship between abstraction and remembrance, often beginning with form and dissolving into something more psychological: color as emotion, gesture as language.

Rather than documenting reality, these paintings attempt to expand outside of it through sensation and feeling. i take the time to sit with the work through constructing and stretching them myself, and then bringing them into my room where emotion can run free through the process. Whether rooted in grief, joy, or transformation, each canvas becomes a field of experience that the viewer can step into. Many are built in layers over time; others arrive in single bursts of immediacy. All of them, in some way, speak to the space between clarity and chaos, between what is said and what is left behind.

Together, these works mark the foundation of a personal mythology—a visual language still being discovered.

a slow dissolve from the tangible into the emotional, from the literal into the mythic. a log of stopping and remembering, turned from what we actually see— into what we think we see.
